The ICT Clinic for Girls is an annual event organised by Savana Signatures with an overall objective “To reduce gender inequalities by increasing women’s and girl’s ability to effectively use information and communications technologies”. It is ultimately geared towards promoting female participation in ICT.
The event started in 2012 and has since become an annual event that brings together young girls from across Ghana for a 10 day ICT Camp at the Tamale Girls Senior High School.
Participants are normally taken through daily hands on sessions on ICT. A platform is also created for the participating girls to engage in discussions with some female role models in our society as well as taken through leadership training sessions. They also engaged in fun games and go on excursion to institutions that make use of technology.
