Savana Signatures

Digital Entrepreneurship Project

Duration: 2023

Background

In rural Northern Ghana, women face significant digital exclusion, with only 30% having access to digital tools for entrepreneurship. Recognizing this disparity, Savana Signatures partnered with GIZ’s Digital Transformation Center Ghana in 2023 to implement a groundbreaking digital empowerment initiative. Targeting four underserved communities, the project specifically addresses barriers facing women in informal micro-enterprises – a sector comprising 72% of female-led businesses in the region. This initiative directly supports Ghana’s National Digital Policy by advancing digital entrepreneurship among marginalized groups.
